1500 Miles, 1 Image~ Neighborhood Walk

Friday, October 13, 2017

Our neighborhood is filled with lots of trails and woods.  I always enjoy going out for a run or a walk with my camera.  I never know what I am going to come across when out and about.  For my image today I just thought the path looked so peaceful and inviting, I like the way you can't see beyond the curve. It is a bit like how I try to approach my days....I don't think we always need a plan or know where we are going because who knows what will be around the bend but we should always find happiness on the path we are on.

Baseball In April

Monday, October 9, 2017

Waaaaaayyyy Back....back....back....in April we went to a Yankees game (yep that's how far behind I am on pics)! We had awesome seats and really good food. If you know me, you KNOW I love my SF Giants...but couldn't turn these seats down! The kids each got a ball from one of the players and some sort of  Yankee treasure, that I have probably already tossed because it wasn't orange and black. I brought by 135mm to try to get some close up images and it worked out good! Though it wasn't the Giants, It was a super fun night and one we won't forget.

1500 Miles, 1 Image ~ Freelensed

Friday, October 6, 2017

So I don't do a lot of freelensing...at all (to tell you the truth it kind of scares me)...but it is something I have always admired.  I love the emotion it provokes, the creativity it exudes and how perfection is thrown out the window! In my opinion, the queen of freelensing is Anita Cline of My Three Sons Images, she is my absolute favorite at creating dreamy images.  She owns the craft of freelensing and if you have never checked out her work you MUST....here is the link~ My Three Sons Images

I feel I fumble through freelensing, worried about dropping my lens or getting dirt in my camera....and I refuse to shove paper in my Nikon lenses! So I stick with practicing freelensing with either my helios or lensbaby lenses.  My results are ok and I know I need more practice...so who knows, you may be seeing more freelensing images from me soon!

Now my friend Eileen also has some amazing images using the freelens technique...be sure to check out her post by clicking here!
