1500 Miles, 1 Image ~ Freelensed

Friday, October 6, 2017

So I don't do a lot of freelensing...at all (to tell you the truth it kind of scares me)...but it is something I have always admired.  I love the emotion it provokes, the creativity it exudes and how perfection is thrown out the window! In my opinion, the queen of freelensing is Anita Cline of My Three Sons Images, she is my absolute favorite at creating dreamy images.  She owns the craft of freelensing and if you have never checked out her work you MUST....here is the link~ My Three Sons Images

I feel I fumble through freelensing, worried about dropping my lens or getting dirt in my camera....and I refuse to shove paper in my Nikon lenses! So I stick with practicing freelensing with either my helios or lensbaby lenses.  My results are ok and I know I need more practice...so who knows, you may be seeing more freelensing images from me soon!

Now my friend Eileen also has some amazing images using the freelens technique...be sure to check out her post by clicking here!

  1. LOVE the tones in this image and you don't give yourself enough credit--you ARE good at freelensing! I agree Anita is the queen though :) Beautiful image this week!

    1. Thank you Eileen! I will keep practicing for sure but will more then likely stick with using a lensbaby lens for fun creative shots!

  2. I think that you did an amazing job on freelensing. The focus is beautiful and I love the drop off to the blurry part. Beautifully done.
