1500 Miles, 1 Image ~ Lensbaby

Friday, January 12, 2018

This week we decided to choose an image shot with a Lensbaby! I was really unsure about purchasing a Lensbaby at first but after playing with a few that Eileen had I was hooked.  The artistic creativity these lenses give are a breath of fresh air.  I love the imperfections that the Lensbaby creates and how you feel like all "rules" are thrown out the window! The concept of perfection in an image is all in the eye of the photographer. Whenever I feel in a creative rut I can always count on one of my creative lenses to bust me out.  I almost always carry one of my Lensbaby lenses with me, just in case I want to get extra artistic with a picture.

Since I first put one of Eileen's Lensbaby lenses on my camera in AZ I have purchased the Composer Pro II with Edge 50, Twist 60 and Velvet 85...also I was lucky last year and won a Double Glass Optic.  This image was taken with the Composer Pro II and the Edge 50.  I love the little slice of focus on my Little Man, I love the manipulation of this duo, I love the blur it gives and how you can determine how much and where it is OOF.  Honestly what is not to love!

Please be sure to head over to Eileen's page by clicking here and see her Lensbaby Image! She does fabulous work with the lenses!!

  2. Such a great image, Melisa. I totally agree with you. I have my first LB (Sweet 35) for a year before I was brave enough to use it. I wish I would have used it sooner. Last year, I finally added to V56 to my bag. LB glass totally rocks.

    1. Thank you so much! It took me a bit to actually purchase one but when the twist came out I couldn't resist! I actually haven't used it in a bit so because I just love the edge and velvet so much! Guess I should put it on my camera again soon!
