It never fails, every day I get a text message from my husband asking the question that has been in the back of my my mind all day long....what's for dinner...well actually he writes, what's for chow. Some days it's an easy reply but most days it sends me into a state of panic. The thoughts that race through my head usually consist of ....shit I forgot about dinner, crap I have to run to the store or damn better get on pinterest.
Most of the time I love to cook and I am one who doesn't always follow recipes. I am more of "a little of this, a little of that" type of cook. Luckily for me and my family I have yet to make something we couldn't eat (just don't ask about the lemon chicken). I am not saying you will be seeing me on Food Network Stars anytime soon...but I know my way around the kitchen.
This image is on a night I happen to make one my favorite pasta dishes. No recipe needed, fresh tomatoes, basil, garlic, chicken, herbs and of course white wine all mixed together with linguine...Mangi!!
Our dearest friends from California came out to New Jersey at the beginning of July. We were jam packed everyday with lots of exploring and fun. We made it to the local farm, our towns lake, the Liberty Science Center, New York for the 4th of July Fireworks and the Museum of Natural History! I can't tell you how much I looked forward to this visit and how we all enjoyed every second of spending time together. We made so many wonderful memories and of course I took so many pictures! Enjoy
