Most days are spent rushing off to school, running errands, taking kids to their activities and just trying to make it through the daily grind. With my husband traveling a lot more now family time is so important. Over the weekend we went to the science center. We spent the day exploring and learning as a family.

My kids love to do art. I can't say I bust out the paints often but they are constantly drawing and coloring. My daughter has so many drawing books around the house there seems to always be one in arms reach. Little Miss is doing a Brownie project with art and she was assigned Still Life. So we sat down and she did a still life painting. Of course Little Man wanted to paint so I gave him a canvas too. I love detail shots, for whatever reason I haven't taken many of them lately so this one just makes me happy. Little hands making pretty art!

This week we decided to focus on fences. Fences come in different sizes, shapes, material and textures. Because there is so much variance a fence can be photographed in many different ways. I decided to use the old wood fence around our driveway with my lensbaby. This particular fence always has pieces that have fallen but I still think it looks cool. There use to be a photography group that shared fence pictures every Friday....called Fence Friday so carrying on the tradition....Happy Fence Friday!

This week we decided to focus on a color. One of my favorite projects I have ever participated in was Cities In Color. Every month we were given a color theme and we took pictures of subjects we saw that were that color. So when Eileen and I decided to do a color for this week I was excited and of course green is the color of March so we went with it....then the snow came and kept coming. I am thinking white may have been a better choice for the week. Anyway, I managed to get some green evergreens this week along with some splashes of white!

Every day we come home from school and get homework done right away. Spelling, math and reading are all on the agenda. Some days it is easier then others and some days it is a battle to get it done. Little Miss sits at the counter and does her work with a snack and a drink as I try to keep Little Man from bothering her too much!
